CT Density Screening for Spine

CT Bone Densitometry is a fast, accurate, and convenient tool that uses a CT scanner to detect Osteoporosis. This procedure takes approximately 5 minutes to perform and does not require any preparation.

Osteoporosis leads to decreased bone strength and increases risk for fractures. This condition is more common among women because of the loss of estrogen that occurs with aging; however, both men and women are at risk. Osteoporosis CT Bone Densitometry screening should be considered beginning at the age of 55-65 years of age
